Macau — Transport & Getting Around

Macau is compact and largely free to get around: casino shuttle buses run from the ferry terminals, airport and the HZMB port to every major resort and anyone can board them. Public buses charge a flat MOP 6, and the LRT line on Taipa links the airport, Cotai resorts and the Taipa ferry terminal. Taxis are metered but scarce at peak hours, and there is no Uber (it withdrew in 2018).

Arriving from Hong Kong: ferries take about an hour to the Outer Harbour or Taipa terminals, and the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge shuttle bus runs 24 hours and takes roughly 40 minutes. Macau International (MFM) on Taipa serves budget routes across East and Southeast Asia.
