Macau — Visa & Airports

Macau is a separate immigration zone from mainland China — no Chinese visa needed. Most Western passports enter visa-free: roughly 30 days for US, Canadian, Australian and NZ citizens, 90 days for most EU nationals, and six months for UK citizens. Crossing the border to Zhuhai, however, does require a Chinese visa or eligibility for a port visa.

Most visitors arrive via Hong Kong (ferry or bridge bus, both with full immigration channels) rather than flying direct; MFM itself is small and efficient, ten minutes by shuttle from the Cotai resorts.
