Fiji — Transport & Getting Around
Nadi International (NAN) on the west of Viti Levu is the gateway; Suva, the capital, is about four hours away along the Queens Road by express coach or taxi. Taxis are cheap and metered in towns — insist on the meter or agree a fare for longer runs; local buses are very cheap and frequent along the coastal corridor. There is no Uber.
Fast catamarans from Port Denarau serve the Mamanuca and Yasawa island chains on daily schedules, and Fiji Link flies domestic routes to Suva, Taveuni, Savusavu and Kadavu. Inter-island ferries are slower and weather-dependent — buffer a day before international departures if returning from outer islands.
