Cyprus — Transport & Getting Around

No trains; the Republic runs on buses and cars. Intercity coaches link Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos for a few euros but thin out by evening; city buses are patchy, so most visitors use Bolt (active in all main southern cities) or rent a car — driving is on the left. Airport shuttles (Kapnos and similar) run Larnaca–Nicosia for about EUR 10.

Larnaca (LCA) and Paphos (PFO) are the two airports of the Republic. If you cross the Green Line to the Turkish-occupied north (easiest on foot at Ledra Street in Nicosia, passport required), note that southern rental cars need extra insurance sold at vehicle crossings, and many rental agreements ban taking the car north at all.
