Seoul Metro is extensive and cheap — T-money card, base fare KRW 1,400 with distance surcharges rarely pushing above KRW 2,000. Kakao T dominates taxis and ride-hail (Uber's Korean operation folded into a Kakao Mobility JV); Seoul base taxi fare is around KRW 4,800 for the first 1.6km after the 2023 hike. AREX airport express from Incheon runs nonstop to Seoul Station (43 min, KRW 11,000) or all-stop (KRW 4,750). Domestic flights via Korean Air, Asiana, Jeju Air and T'way, but KTX high-speed rail (Seoul–Busan ~2h40) is usually competitive door-to-door. Naver Map and Kakao Map beat Google Maps, which has walking/transit gaps from Korea's mapping-data export restrictions.
