Seoul — Itaewon has been the foreigner-facing nightlife strip since the Yongsan Garrison years, though the garrison relocation to Pyeongtaek and the 2022 crowd-crush disaster reshaped the crowd. Hongdae is the student club district, Gangnam the upscale room-salon quarter (foreigner access limited by design), and Jongno 3-ga still holds older bar clusters. The Miari Texas red-light zone in Seongbuk-gu was largely cleared by 2023.
Busan — Seomyeon concentrates nightlife; Haeundae is beachside upscale. Incheon — the Sungui-dong "Yellow House" zone has been under sustained redevelopment pressure. Daegu — Jagalmadang faces the same closure pressure that has thinned most yellow-line zones since 2004.
