Myanmar — Visa & Airports

Most visitors require a visa. Myanmar has operated an e-visa system for tourist and business entry through the Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyidaw international airports, but availability, requirements and airline schedules have all been disrupted since 2021, so confirm current rules through an official source and your airline before booking. Keep your passport, visa and any regional travel permits on you at all times, with photographs stored separately. Register your arrival with your embassy and be prepared for extra questioning and registration requirements imposed by the authorities.
