Uruguay — Insurance
No insurance is required for entry, but carry standard travel cover; private healthcare in Montevideo is excellent (the mutualista hospital system plus private clinics accustomed to foreigners) and modest by US price standards, though paid upfront. Emergencies are treated regardless of cover. HIV and STI testing is free through public polyclinics and cheap at private laboratories; condoms are in every pharmacy. There is no notable tropical-disease risk — the practical hazards are petty theft in Ciudad Vieja and summer sun.
