Trinidad & Tobago — Neighborhoods

Port of Spain — Ariapita Avenue in Woodbrook is the main nightlife strip (bars, clubs, late food), with St James just west of it known as "the city that never sleeps". These are also where what adult scene exists is arranged — Trinidad's Sexual Offences Act 1986 (amended 2000) criminalises soliciting, brothel-keeping and living on the earnings of prostitution, so there is no legal red-light district; the trade operates through clubs, guesthouses and online listings, and raids occur. The bigger issue is violent crime: a state of emergency was in force as recently as 2025, and areas east of downtown (Laventille, Beetham, Sea Lots) are strict no-go for visitors, day or night. Do not walk Ariapita side streets alone late.

Tobago — Crown Point and Store Bay have a relaxed beach-bar scene; adult tourism is minimal and the same national law applies. Tobago is markedly safer than Trinidad but not crime-free.
