Taiwan — Neighborhoods

Taipei — Linsen North Road and the surrounding Zhongshan district is the historical Japanese-oriented nightlife strip, with hostess bars, KTVs and small clubs; Ximending is the youth and LGBT area, with Red House plaza as the gay bar hub. Kaohsiung — the Wufu 2nd Road corridor and Yancheng district hold the older nightlife and massage economy, while the Love River strip is more mainstream.

Taichung — the area around Chungyou and the Fuxing Road blocks concentrates the local hostess-bar and KTV scene; central Taichung sits between the two.
