Moscow — Tverskaya and the streets around Belorusskaya and Novoslobodskaya have historically hosted the higher-end nightlife and hotel-bar scene; Kitay-Gorod and the Arbat draw a mixed bar crowd. Enforcement has tightened significantly under the "traditional values" policy shift after 2022, and street solicitation is minimal and risky.

St Petersburg — the Nevsky Prospekt corridor, Ligovsky Prospekt and Sennaya Ploshchad have been the main nightlife arteries; the city is generally more permissive than Moscow but the same 2022–2024 legal changes apply. Sochi and Kazan have visible resort/hotel bar scenes rather than dedicated districts.
