Poland — Insurance
Standard travel insurance (World Nomads, SafetyWing, IMG) covers Poland; EU visitors with EHIC/GHIC get access to public healthcare on the same terms as Poles, but private clinics are faster and English-speaking. LuxMed and Medicover are the two main private chains in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw and Gdansk; walk-in appointments run PLN 200–400 and same-day STI panels are available.
HIV PrEP is legal but not reimbursed for foreigners; generic tenofovir/emtricitabine is sold at private clinics. Emergency contraception (ellaOne) is prescription-only in Poland — a workaround is a telemedicine consult through LuxMed or a private gynaecologist. Condoms are freely sold at all pharmacies and 24/7 Zabkas.
