Paraguay — Neighborhoods

Asunción — nightlife concentrates in Villa Morra and along Paseo Carmelitas and Avenida España: bars, clubs and casinos. Sex work is legal for adults 18+ and the scene is mid-sized and discreet — adult nightclubs on the main avenues, apartment-based independents advertising online, and a rougher street scene near the historic centre and port that carries real robbery risk. Ciudad del Este — the border-trade city opposite Foz do Iguaçu runs on contraband-adjacent commerce; adult venues cluster near the bridge and market zones, but this is the country's highest-crime environment, and spiked drinks, counterfeit goods and police shakedowns are all live risks. Encarnación — a beach-and-carnival town in January-February, quiet otherwise.
