Nigeria — Visa & Airports

Nearly all Western passports need a visa. Since May 2025 Nigeria issues e-Visas online with roughly 48-hour processing, replacing the old visa-on-arrival scheme; fees vary sharply by nationality under reciprocity rules (Americans pay the most). Apply only through the official immigration portal — third-party 'agent' sites overcharge or defraud. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. LOS and ABV are the main international gateways; LOS's newer international terminal handles most European and Gulf carriers.
