Morocco — Neighborhoods

Marrakech — Gueliz (the French colonial "ville nouvelle") and Hivernage hold the international bars, luxury hotels and late-opening nightclubs; the Medina around Jemaa el-Fna is conservative and closes early. Casablanca — the Ain Diab corniche is the club strip, while Maarif and Racine cluster upmarket restaurants and lounges. Tangier — Boulevard Pasteur and the Ville Nouvelle carry the visible nightlife; the Kasbah and Petit Socco are historic and quiet after dark.

Agadir — the rebuilt beachfront corniche is the resort nightlife zone with hotel bars and clubs. Rabat — Agdal and Hassan hold most licensed bars; the capital is administrative and low-key. Fes and Meknes — deeply conservative; almost no visible nightlife outside a handful of hotel bars.
