Sex work is illegal in Jordan under the Penal Code No. 16 of 1960 (Articles 309-318 cover prostitution, soliciting and brothel offences) and enforcement is real — periodic raids on 'nightclubs' operating hostess models, and reports of extortion attempts targeting foreigners around hotel bars. There is no scene to map; treat any commercial approach as a legal and scam risk.

Amman — legitimate nightlife centres on Rainbow Street and the Jabal al-Weibdeh cafe-bar quarter, with upscale hotel bars and clubs in Abdoun; Sweifieh has a rougher edge of late-night 'nightclubs' that are periodically raided. Aqaba — relaxed resort and dive-town bars. Alcohol is legal in licensed venues throughout.
