If arrested, ask for a lawyer and for your embassy or high commission to be notified before answering questions; bail exists for minor offences but processing is slow and police lock-ups are grim. Consulates provide lawyer lists and welfare visits, nothing more. The age of consent is 16, and any commercial sexual contact with a person under 18 is prosecuted under the Child Care and Protection Act 2004 and the Sexual Offences Act 2009, on top of extraterritorial prosecution in your home country. Because sex work itself is unlawful, a dispute arising from it gives you no protection and reporting it invites charges — factor that into your risk calculus.
