Carry travel insurance with medical evacuation — public hospitals are overstretched, and the private hospitals in Kingston and Montego Bay expect payment guarantees before treating tourists. Public health centres offer free or low-cost STI testing, and private labs in Kingston and Montego Bay run same-day panels; PEP availability is patchy outside Kingston, so if exposure risk matters to you, work out where you would get it within 72 hours before you need it. Condoms are sold in pharmacies and supermarkets island-wide.
