US, UK, EU, Canadian and Australian passports get 90 days visa-free, but since 2025 the ETA-IL electronic authorisation is required in advance for all visa-exempt travellers — apply online, ~25 ILS, valid two years. Israel issues a blue paper entry slip (keep it with your passport) rather than a stamp, which also helps for onward travel to states that refuse Israeli-stamped documents. Overstays draw fines and re-entry bans.

Ben Gurion (TLV) near Tel Aviv is the primary international gateway; Ramon (ETM) near Eilat handles a handful of European charters. Expect intensive security questioning on departure — arrive three hours early and answer plainly about your itinerary and contacts.
