Greece — Visa & Airports

Greece is in the Schengen Area, so US, UK, Canadian, Australian and NZ passport holders enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The EU's ETIAS pre-authorisation is scheduled to apply to visa-exempt travellers once rolled out; check current status before booking. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date.

Athens Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) is the main hub, 30 km east of the centre and linked by Metro Line 3, suburban rail and the X95 express bus (€5.50). Thessaloniki Makedonia (SKG) and Heraklion (HER) handle the north and Crete respectively; both are 20–30 minutes by taxi from town.
