Athens — Metaxourgeio and the streets around Omonia Square (Filis, Sofokleous, Menandrou) are the historic red-light corridor, mixing licensed brothels registered under the 1999 statute with informal street work; the area has gentrified in patches but remains rough after dark. Gazi and Kolonaki hold the mainstream nightlife and gay bars (Rooster, Sodade).

Thessaloniki — The Vardaris district around the old railway station is the traditional working area, with a handful of licensed premises and heavy police presence. Ladadika and Valaoritis carry the club scene. Patras and Piraeus — Port districts with older-style licensed venues; both are transit points rather than destinations.
