Ghana — Visa & Airports

Unlike much of West Africa, Ghana requires most Western passport holders to arrange a visa in advance through an embassy or the e-visa channel; fees and processing vary by nationality. In recent years the government has run seasonal visa-on-arrival waivers for the December holiday influx — useful if travelling then, but confirm the scheme is actually active for your dates rather than assuming. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry.

Kotoka International (ACC) in Accra is the sole major gateway; Terminal 3 handles international arrivals and is modern and efficient by regional standards.
