Private hospitals in Accra offer confidential STI testing and PEP (start within 72 hours of exposure); adult HIV prevalence is lower than in East or Southern Africa at under 2%, but that is no argument against condoms. Pharmacies are plentiful in Accra, though counterfeit medication circulates — buy from established chains.
