Medical facilities are basic even in Suva, and anything serious means aeromedical evacuation to Australia or New Zealand — make sure your policy carries full medevac cover, and divers should confirm dive cover (Suva has the recompression chamber). Private clinics in Suva and Nadi handle routine care faster than public hospitals. Dengue and occasional Zika activity are the main mosquito-borne risks.

STI services run through Ministry of Health reproductive-health clinics in the main towns, with private clinics in Suva and Nadi quicker and more discreet; PEP availability is limited to the main hospitals, so act immediately in Suva if needed.
