Croatia — Neighborhoods

Sex work is illegal in Croatia: selling is a misdemeanour under the 1977 Act on Misdemeanours against Public Order and Peace (fines or short detention), while organising, facilitating or profiting from it are crimes under Article 157 of the 2011 Criminal Code, and knowingly using the services of a trafficking victim is itself a crime. Buyers are not currently criminalised nationally, but proposals to punish clients have circulated in parliament for years — the legal ground is not stable. There is no visible red-light district anywhere in the country; what exists is a discreet, apartment-based online scene in the larger cities plus a handful of strip clubs where the usual inflated-bill risks apply.

Zagreb — nightlife centres on Tkalčićeva and the Lower Town bars. Split — Bačvice beach clubs and the Old Town lanes drive a heavy summer party trade. Dubrovnik — expensive and couples-oriented, with minimal adult infrastructure. Treat any street approach on the coast as a scam or worse.
