Belgium — Visa & Airports

Belgium is in the Schengen area. US, UK, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand passport holders enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180. ETIAS pre-authorisation is being phased in — check your passport expiry (six months' validity beyond departure is prudent) and register before travel once mandatory.

Brussels Airport (BRU/Zaventem) is the main hub with the Airport Express to Brussels-Midi/Central/Nord. Charleroi Airport (CRL) is Ryanair's Belgian base, roughly 60 km south. Antwerp (ANR) and Liège (LGG) handle limited passenger and largely cargo traffic. Border checks within Schengen are minimal but random ID stops occur.
