Bahrain — Neighborhoods

Be clear about the law first: prostitution is illegal in Bahrain under the 1976 Penal Code (Articles 324-332 cover soliciting, brothel-keeping and living off earnings), and periodic raids on hotel bars end in arrests and deportations for both buyers and sellers. There is no legal scene to map — what exists operates out of hotel nightlife and carries criminal exposure for everyone involved.

Manama — Juffair is the Americanized bar-and-hotel district near the US naval base, with the densest concentration of licensed venues; Adliya's Block 338 is the restaurant-and-lounge quarter; the older Exhibition Avenue/Hoora strip holds legacy hotel bars. All of it swells with Saudi weekend traffic Thursday through Saturday. Treat any commercial approach in these venues as a legal risk, not an amenity.
