Austria — Neighborhoods

Vienna — the Gürtel ring road, particularly the Westgürtel and Neubaugürtel stretches around Thaliastraße and Josefstädter Straße U6 stations, is the concentrated Laufhaus and bar corridor. The area around Praterstern and parts of the Prater have historically hosted the registered street-work zone under the Wiener Prostitutionsgesetz 2011 zoning rules. Inner-city Bezirk 1 is bar and hotel territory, not adult-trade.

Salzburg and Graz — each has a small number of registered brothels licensed under their respective Landesgesetze, generally on the outskirts rather than in the old-town tourist cores; there is no visible street scene comparable to Vienna's Gürtel.
