Do not assume EHIC or GHIC coverage works the same way as it does inside the EU. Andorra has a good healthcare system, but visitors should carry travel insurance that explicitly covers Andorra, mountain roads and winter sports if relevant. Skiing, snowboarding, off-piste activity and alcohol-related injuries often have policy exclusions, so read the wording before relying on it.

For sexual health or urgent medical needs, use clinics in Andorra la Vella or the hospital emergency department; complex cases may be transferred to Spain or France, making evacuation and cross-border treatment cover important.
