Albania — Visa & Airports

Albania is not in the EU or Schengen and keeps its own generous regime: UK, EU, Canadian and Australian passport holders get 90 days visa-free, and US citizens get a full year. Entry is stamped; overstaying brings fines and possible bans. Days here do not count against the Schengen clock, which makes Albania another popular reset stop.

Tirana (TIA, Nënë Tereza/Rinas) carries nearly all traffic, with dense low-cost connections to Italy, the UK and Germany; queues at passport control have grown with the tourism boom, so allow extra time in July and August.
