Scam Pattern Check

Walk through 15 questions about a booking. Each "yes" adds weighted risk points. The score and flagged patterns at the bottom tell you whether you’re looking at a routine booking, an iffy one, or a probable scam.

How to use

Be honest with the answers. The tool is most useful BEFORE a deposit changes hands. After money has moved to crypto or gift cards, it’s effectively gone — even bank wires are usually unrecoverable for international consumer transactions. The companion scams guide covers each pattern in depth.

This is a heuristic, not a verdict. A low score doesn’t guarantee a legitimate booking and a high score doesn’t guarantee a scam — but the patterns are drawn from years of community-documented scam reports across multiple jurisdictions.
