Malaysia — Visa & Airports

UK, US, Canadian, Australian, EU and NZ passport holders receive 90-day visa-free entry on arrival for tourism. All arrivals must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within three days before landing — it is free and enforced at immigration. Passports need six months' validity and a return/onward ticket.

Main gateway is Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), with Terminal 1 for full-service carriers and KLIA2 for AirAsia and low-cost airlines. Penang (PEN), Kota Kinabalu (BKI), Kuching (KCH) and Johor Bahru Senai (JHB) handle regional traffic. Sarawak and Sabah operate separate immigration controls — expect a second passport stamp on arrival from Peninsular Malaysia.
