Most Western passports (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia) receive a free one-month visa on arrival at BEY, extendable in-country. The hard rule: any evidence of travel to Israel — a stamp, a visa, an Israeli-issued entry slip found in your bag — means refusal of entry and possible detention. Check your government's travel advisory before booking; several advise against travel to southern Lebanon, the Baalbek-Hermel region and parts of Beirut's southern suburbs, and the security picture has shifted repeatedly since 2023.
