Iceland — Visa & Airports

Iceland is in Schengen (though not the EU): 90 days visa-free in any 180-day period for US, UK, Canadian, Australian and NZ passports, counted together with time in the rest of Schengen. EES biometric registration has been rolling out since October 2025, with ETIAS pre-authorisation to follow for visa-exempt nationals. Keflavík (KEF) is the only significant international airport; immigration is quick, but the airport is busy at the 04:00–07:00 transatlantic wave, so allow time on departure.
