Finland — Insurance

EU/EEA visitors are covered for public healthcare via EHIC; everyone else should carry comprehensive travel insurance, as non-resident care is billed at full cost and private clinics are expensive. Standard policies are fine — no unusual exclusions apply to Finland.

For sexual health, public health centres (terveysasema) handle STI testing, and the NGO Hivpoint runs free, anonymous HIV and STI rapid testing in Helsinki with English-speaking staff. Private laboratory chains offer fast walk-in panels for a fee. PEP is available through hospital emergency departments — go within 72 hours.
