China — Neighborhoods

Beijing — Sanlitun (around Taikoo Li and the old "Dirty Bar Street") is the expat-facing bar corridor; Gongti (Workers' Stadium) hosts the club scene. Both were heavily raided during the 2014–2021 anti-vice campaigns and remain closely policed. Shanghai — the former French Concession, Xintiandi and Found 158 are the mainstream nightlife zones; the Bund holds the high-end lounges. Guangzhou — Party Pier and Zhujiang New Town for bars.

Shenzhen — Coco Park and Shekou (expat-heavy) are the main going-out districts; the 2014 Dongguan crackdown pushed much of the region's off-books industry underground and it has not returned in visible form.
