Guide
Adult Engagements & Honour Cultures
Clients from honour-based or strict-religious family contexts face structurally different risks — not just legal, but lifelong family consequences if discovered. This guide is a harm-reduction reference written without judgement.
Who This Is For
Clients from communities where extramarital sex carries severe family consequences — many South Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, and conservative diaspora communities. Also relevant: clients in highly religious families anywhere (orthodox Jewish, fundamentalist Christian, certain Buddhist communities), and any closeted LGBTQ+ client in a hostile family.
The framing throughout this guide: your sex life is yours. Family pressure is real and the risks are real, but the answer isn't to suppress your life — it's to compartmentalise it competently.
Device & Communication Hygiene
- Separate phone for adult-engagement contact. Not a separate SIM in your family phone — a separate device with a separate Apple/Google account.
- No cloud sync between devices. iCloud and Google Photos have leaked into family iPad-shared accounts before.
- Encrypted messaging only (Signal, Wire). No SMS. No WhatsApp linked to your family-known number.
- VPN for browsing — particularly important if you live with family who could check router logs.
- Browser profile separation — separate Chrome/Firefox profile for adult research; never sign into family-shared accounts.
The OpSec guide goes deeper on the technical layer.
Banking & Payment
- Never family banking. Family-shared accounts and joint accounts are the most common doxing vector.
- Cash for everything possible. Withdraw from ATMs your family doesn't watch.
- If cards are unavoidable, use prepaid Visa/Mastercard or a separate bank account in a different bank than your family knows about.
- Crypto is an option but introduces its own complexity; only worth it if you're moving significant funds.
Travel Cover Stories
- Conference / business trip works for short trips. Carry plausible documentation (printed agenda, hotel near a real conference venue).
- Friend visit works if the friend is willing to corroborate.
- Solo retreat / fitness camp works for longer absences.
- Hospitality / wedding attendance in another city, common cover for South Asian clients.
Don't over-elaborate. The simpler the cover, the harder it is to trip up.
