Chiang Mai trip report — 14 days
Arrived and got settled quickly. Had a driver arranged. Hotel was clean and central.
Days 1-2: Explored, got the lay of the land. Took a day to figure things out.
Days 3-3: Quality improved once I knew where to look. Found my rhythm. The downtown area was the sweet spot.
Prices: $100-200 for premium. Some room to negotiate.
Tips: Don't flash money.
Return? 100% — saving up already.

First time there was overwhelming but exciting. Second time I knew the ropes and it was like a completely different trip. Like most places, experience makes all the difference.
