Austria — my favorite spots after multiple visits

Austria trip report — 3 days

Arrived and got settled quickly. Uber worked great. Hotel was clean and central.

Days 1-2: Explored, got the lay of the land. Got some good intel from a local.

Days 3-12: Quality improved once I knew where to look. Found my rhythm. The downtown area was the sweet spot.

Prices: $100-200 for premium. Prices are pretty fixed.

Tips: Get a local SIM on arrival.

Return? 100% — saving up already.

How does it compare to Colombia?

Word of caution — watch out for taxi scams at the airport. Other than that, great destination.

Been there 15+ times now. Still one of my top destinations. The friendly atmosphere is what keeps me coming back.

I was there in March and prices were about average. Spent about ${pick(["50","80","100","120","150"])}/day all-in.

My tip: Bring cash in small bills.

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.
