Hotel recommendations near Medellin scene

Medellin trip report — 5 days

Arrived and got settled quickly. Train from the airport was simple. Hotel was exactly what I needed.

Days 1-2: Explored, got the lay of the land. Got some good intel from a local.

Days 3-3: Had some incredible sessions. Found my rhythm. The main strip area was the sweet spot.

Prices: $80-120 for quality. Prices are pretty fixed.

Tips: Book hotels close to the scene.

Return? Yes, maybe try a different area.

Good info. I'd add that late night is the best time to go.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

Did you feel safe using taxis?

Not sure I agree about that area. Found a different neighborhood better value.
