Interesting but I think you overpaid. Try asking locals next time.

Planning my first trip to India and wanted the latest intel.
Specifically interested in:
1. Current price ranges
2. Best areas to base yourself
3. Safety concerns
4. Quality compared to Thailand?
Any recent reports appreciated. Thanks.

I was there in recently and prices were slightly higher. Spent about ${pick(["50","80","100","120","150"])}/day all-in.
My tip: Bring cash in small bills.

Word of caution — don't carry too much cash. Other than that, great destination.

Interesting but I think you overpaid. Try negotiating more firmly next time.

Adding my experience: scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.
