Been thinking about visiting Munich and wanted to get the latest intel from those who've been recently.
Specifically interested in:
1. Current price ranges
2. Best areas to base yourself
3. Any safety concerns
4. How's the quality compared to Germany?
Any recent trip reports would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

This matches my experience. Munich is one of my favorites.

Did you feel safe walking around at night?

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since the new laws came in. Current prices are actually lower than what's described here.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were higher when I went. Maybe timing matters.

Spot on with the prices. That matches what I paid in February.

I was there in January and prices were great value.
Spent about $102/day all-in. Quality was above average.
My tip: midweek is golden hour.

Agreed on all points. Make sure to bring small bills.

I'd rate it similarly. Solid 9/10 destination.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try using a different site next time.
