Your First 24 Hours in Prague — Hour-by-Hour

Prague is the European mid-tier reference destination. First day establishes navigation, verification, and pricing baselines.

Hour 0-2: Arrival at PRG

Land at Václav Havel International (PRG). Take Airport Express bus to Hlavní nádraží (Prague's main train station; CZK 100; 35 min) or Bolt CZK 600-800. Avoid taxi rank — they overcharge.

Hour 2-4: Hotel and orientation

Check in (Old Town or Vinohrady typical). Walk to nearest tram/metro stop. Prague is compact; most adult-tourism activity is walkable from central hotel.

Hour 4-8: Cultural orientation

Walk through Old Town Square, across Charles Bridge, up to Prague Castle. This is the standard tourist orientation; gives you a sense of the city. Lunch at a Czech restaurant (U Tří Růží, Lokál, similar).

Hour 8-12: Cash withdrawal

Withdraw CZK from a Czech bank ATM (ČSOB, Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna). Avoid Euronet ATMs. CZK 5,000-10,000 covers most adult-tourism evenings.

Hour 12-16: Provider research

Hot.cz is the primary Czech platform. Browse listings for your preferred night. Premium-tier providers in Vinohrady, Žižkov, Smíchov apartments. Verify with reverse-image-search.

Hour 16-20: First evening

Pre-verified premium independent (CZK 3,000-6,000 mid-tier). Alternative: walk Wenceslas Square area but avoid all bars/clubs there (substantial scam risk). Established options: Showpark in Prague 7 (proper club format, walkable from Old Town).

Hour 20-24: Late evening

Return to hotel via tram (free at night with hotel-card / metro pass). Eat late at one of Prague's late-night restaurants. Sleep.
