Your First 24 Hours in Bucharest — Hour-by-Hour

Bucharest is a value-tier European destination. The first day establishes navigation and verification practices.

Hour 0-2: Arrival at OTP

Land at Henri Coandă International (OTP). DO NOT take official-looking taxis from the rank; they will overcharge. Use Bolt: ~RON 60-80 to central Bucharest (40 min). Alternative: 783 bus from outside terminal to Piața Unirii (~RON 7; 45 min).

Hour 2-4: Hotel and orientation

Check into your central hotel (Old Town, Centrul Vechi, or Floreasca areas typical). Walk briefly to orient. Note that Centrul Vechi/Old Town is tourist-saturated and has strip-club scam risk; Floreasca is upscale residential where premium independents work.

Hour 4-8: Cultural orientation

Walk Calea Victoriei (historic main street). Visit Romanian Athenaeum area. Note Old Town's historic core and its current bar-strip-club density. Eat at one of Old Town's established Romanian restaurants (Caru' cu Bere is the famous one — touristy but legitimate).

Hour 8-12: Cash + ATM

Withdraw RON cash. Avoid Euronet ATMs (high markup). Use OTP Bank, Bancorex, or ING ATMs. Withdraw a day's worth — RON 1,000-2,000 covers most adult-tourism evenings.

Hour 12-16: Evening preparation

Pre-verified premium independent escort is the lowest-friction first-evening option. Skokka.ro is the primary Romanian platform. Floreasca apartment outcall is typical. Cost RON 500-1500 mid-tier; RON 1500-3000 premium.

Hour 16-20: First session

If pre-booked: enjoy. Note: Romanian providers usually have less English than premium tier Western Europe; Russian or basic Romanian helps.

Hour 20-24: Late evening

Return to hotel. Avoid Old Town strip clubs entirely if you're uncertain — the bill-inflation scam pattern is documented. Old Town bars (legitimate) are fine but verify pricing pre-drinks. Bolt back to hotel.
