Language barrier in Cologne — how bad is it?

Adding to this thread with my own experience from 3 weeks ago:

Things are much the same as always since my last visit in 2024.

Biggest change: More competition means better service.

Still a great destination. One of my top 3 worldwide.

I was there in February and can add some detail:

Prices: Good value overall. I spent about $100/day on the hobby side.

Girls: Mix of local and working girls from other regions. Quality was above average.

My favorite spot was a place recommended by another member here.

One tip: Avoid weekends if you want better prices.

Any restaurants or bars you'd recommend for hanging out during the day?

How long did it take you to learn the routine?

Not sure I agree about the area recommendation. I found downtown to be better.
