Has anyone been to Peru recently? Looking for the latest intel.

Specifically interested in:
- Current price ranges
- Best areas right now
- Any safety concerns to be aware of
- Transport tips

I was there in 2024 and had a good time. Wondering if things have changed.

Trying to decide between this and Colombia.

Cheers

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Been there 12 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The value for money is what keeps me coming back.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: better quality.

Also recommend downloading Grab before you go. Essential.
