Just got back from Colombia — trip report March 2026

Returned from 5 days in Colombia. Mixed feelings but mostly positive.

Accommodation:
Guesthouse near the main area. $76/night. Walking distance to everything.

Scene:
Better than expected — plenty of options. Prices were slightly higher than expected.

Quality:
Better selection than last time. Had 5 encounters total.

Logistics:
Transport was easy — Uber/Grab works well. Found great local restaurants.

Safety:
No issues at all.

Overall: 8/10. Would definitely return.

First time was good but could have been better. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

My tip: midweek is much better.
