Returned from 10 days in Brazil. Mixed feelings but mostly positive.

Accommodation:
Serviced apartment near the main area. $40/night. Walking distance to everything.

Scene:
Busy and well-organized. Prices were great value.

Quality:
Varied — some great, some average. Had 3 encounters total.

Logistics:
Public transport is good enough. Food was cheap and delicious.

Safety:
Used common sense and had no problems.

Overall: 8/10. Solid choice, will be back.

Happy to answer any questions.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Word of caution — watch out for taxi scams at the airport. Other than that, great destination.

Did you use an agency or find girls at the hotel?

Quick question — how was the ATM situation?

I was there in last month and prices were great value. Spent about $50/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

I was there in last month and prices were about average. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: try the local spots away from tourists.
