Planning my first trip to Honduras. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.

My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to Colombia?
5. How is the language barrier?

Coming from the US with experience in Latin America but first time in Honduras.

Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Word of caution — do not carry too much cash. Other than that, great destination.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Adding my experience: scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: better quality.

I was there in March and prices were great value. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: try the local spots away from tourists.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Did you use an agency or find girls at the hotel?

Different experience for me. Prices were about the same when I went.
