Hotel recommendations for Guatemala:

Budget ($36-49/night):
Basic guesthouses near the main strip. Look for places with 24-hour reception.

Mid-Range ($76-102/night):
Serviced apartments for longer stays. These usually have good security and privacy.

Premium ($149+/night):
Luxury apartments via Airbnb.

Guest-Friendly Policy:
International chains never ask questions.

Location tip: Stay near the main nightlife strip.

Been going for years. Scene has gotten busier.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Adding my experience: scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

Been there 8 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The quality is what keeps me coming back.
